Founded in 2005 and based in Ocala, Florida, PadJack, Inc. was created to address a critical gap in physical network security. The concept for PadJack was born when a senior IT engineer discovered an alarming vulnerability while attempting to connect to the internet at a hospital. After plugging a network cable into an open RJ45 jack, he unintentionally accessed the hospital's internal network, revealing how easily someone with harmful intent could exploit unsecured network jacks.

Recognizing the widespread risk, PadJack was developed to safeguard organizations against physical security breaches. While many institutions focus on securing their firewalls or systems, PadJack targets the often-overlooked vulnerability of exposed network jacks in areas like lobbies, hallways, and unoccupied offices. The PadJack RJ45 Lock physically restricts unauthorized access, offering a crucial layer of defense for hospitals, government facilities, financial institutions, and energy plants, among others.

As threats to physical security evolved, PadJack expanded its product line to include the RJ45 Cable Lock in, SFP Fiber Port Lock, USB A Port Lock, USB B Port Lock, USB Cable Lock In, D-Sub DB9, DB25, DB26 Port Lock, HDMI Port Lock, DisplayPort Lock, and DVI Port Lock.   Each is designed to protect against unauthorized data access and prevent tampering.
